The Schooling of Horse and Rider over Ground Poles
Updated and revised, this classic training manual by Reiner Klimke now
includes an extended section on gymnastic jumping by the author's daughter,
Ingrid. Although originally written 30 years ago, this book has gained great
importance over the years as riders and trainers have discovered the value of
training their dressage, jumping and event horses over cavalletti. This manual
is now in hard cover and includes many wonderful color photos, diagrams and
illustrations. This book is for the rider who is serious about increasing the
suppleness, coordination and athletic ability that is necessary to develop a
winning sport horse. Reiner Klimke was a well known successful competitor,
trainer and visionary in the world of sport horses. He won the gold medal for
dressage at the Tokyo Olympics in 1964, was the five time European dressage
champion and was also chosen to represent Germany in the Olympic Games in Mexico
in 1968 and Munich in 1972. He passed away in 1999. His daughter Ingrid
continues to train and ride under the influence of her father's methods. |
