Give your home or farm that Thoroughbred look!
We searched and searched for a classic lawn jockey for our own farm. We have admired them at the older farms but they are seldom for sale. When they are available, they’re usually priced at more than we care to pay.
By pure chance we stumbled upon the Mexican foundry that has the original jockey molds. They still pour the hot molten metal by hand, just like the originals were poured a century ago.
These jockeys are just like the originals, and in some ways, even better. We had them cast in
aluminum so that they still have that solid feel of cast iron. Each weighs 42 lbs., heavy enough to make a statement yet light enough so that you don’t need a crane to move it around the farm.
Our Jockey stands nearly four feet tall (46 inches), on a 13 inch square base that is 7 inches high (the base is calculated in the overall height of 46 inches.) We primed them with a special paint to
protect the aluminum from corrosion. So, each Jockey is now a pale yellow color, ready for you to paint with your own racing colors. Painting your jockey in your own silks is easy and part of the fun of
owning one. See
how other customers have painted their jockeys.
We have only a limited supply of Jockeys remaining. If you have been searching for one, order yours today.
