Laffit Pincay, Jr. began his ride into Thoroughbred racing history as a
teenager in Panama. His two loves were baseball and horse racing. When told he
was too small to be a world-class baseball player, Laffit turned to race riding
and was told he was too big to be a world-class jockey.
In his 39-year riding career, this Hall of Fame jockey won an incredible 9,531
races - more than any other jockey on earth. He won three Belmonts, one Kentucky
Derby, scores of Breeders’ Cup races, and five Eclipse awards.
