Recognizing and Treating the Horse's Most Common Ailment
When Lameness was first released several years ago, its price was just
under $100. Even though it contained almost everything anyone needed to know
about lameness in layman's terms, the high cost left it out of the question for
many horse people. Now it's been republished in softcover and can be yours for
just $27.95.
As before, this book contains information on causes of lameness, including skin
problems, conformation issues, neurologic and orthopedic disorders, common
injuries, and more. It discusses how to diagnose, prevent and treat lameness, as
well as offering therapy and medication possibilities. Lameness also
contains an entire chapter devoted to prepurchase examinations. The entire book
is generally easy to read and understand; any technical terms are defined nearby
as well as in the appendix. The text is accompanied by numerous photos,
illustrations, charts and x-rays.
Rarely do you find such detailed information on a critical topic for such a
small price - this may very well be the deal of the century.
