Decades ago, a little mud-colored Thoroughbred named Seabiscuit
stole the heart of a nation. He and his underdog crew traversed both
coasts of the U.S., winning races and defeating champions, until their names had
crossed the lips of nearly every American. Shortly after
Seabiscuit's retirement, noted track writer B.K. Beckwith recorded the horse's
life on paper in Seabiscuit - The Saga of a Great Champion. The
book took a picturesque look at the great horse's life while he and all his
human comrades were still alive and readers had personally experienced
Seabiscuit's accomplishments. Much more
recently, Laura Hillenbrand's account of Seabiscuit's famed life has landed the
horse back
in the spotlight. The success of Seabiscuit: An American Legend has also
brought this, the first book about Seabiscuit's life, back from the dusty
shelves of history. Seabiscuit - The Saga of a Great Champion is
now available as a reprint of the 1940 edition by the same name. Filled
with pictures and personal accounts of his life, no fan of Seabiscuit can
consider their collection complete until they own this book. Don't forget to check out these other Seabiscuit Items!
