3 Easy Steps to Calculate Canadian Duty and GST.
Step 1. Add together the cost of all merchandise.
Step 2. GST: Multiply the total from Step 1 by 5 percent. Enter the GST amount on the tax line on the Order Form.
(Customers in Ontario, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and
Labrador, please multiply by 13 percent.)
Step 3. Enter the $10 Canadian Customs Charge on the line on the Order
Form.Please note: All prices are in US dollars. If paying in Canadian dollars, please multiply the total by
1.18.
Canadian Duty, Taxes and Brokerage
In placing your order, you authorize Russell A. Farrow Ltd. (RAF), our customs broker, to act as your agent, as defined under the Customs Act, to clear your merchandise, remit applicable duties and the Goods and Services Tax (GST). Payment received for duties, taxes, shipping and brokerage are accepted by The Russell Meerdink Company, Ltd. on your behalf, for RAF.
By ordering from The Russell Meerdink Company, Ltd., I waive and transfer my rights to receive the actual amount for duties to The Russell Meerdink Company, Ltd. All duty and GST paid, will in turn, be refunded to me directly by The Russell Meerdink Company, Ltd.
