When you call our office, there is a good chance Jan will answer the phone. Jan has been leading The Russell Meerdink Company, Ltd. from the start, more than 20 years ago. She knows the major players in the industry and is on a first name basis with many of our customers. Jan often spends long periods just chatting horses with customers, sometimes offering advice on a lame horse, other times just swapping horse stories. (You should see our phone bill!)

When not in the office, Jan and Russ spend time developing their mini-farm - a five acre spot on the edge of the city of Neenah. Each weekend brings new projects: Planting trees & flowers, putting up fence, mowing the field, etc. Jan is very proud of her gardens. One she uses to harvest basil, tomatoes and lettuce for her gourmet dinners. The other she plants beautiful flowers in. Every day, Jan rushes to the mailbox hoping to find another seed catalog to browse through.

Over the winter Jan and Russ built a 36’x36’ barn to hold their horses. The summer project was building the stalls. Anyone wishing to come by an lend a hand is welcome. Stop on by The Meadows on South Park any weekend about 7:00 a.m. to get a few hours work in before Jan’s famous brunch around 11:00 a.m.
