Q10) Do I need safety chains or cables?
Yes! All states and provinces require the use of
safety chains or safety cables. These safety devices are rated for a
certain weight and must be used properly for the specific weight of the trailer
being towed. Remember that many states require safety chains or cables
when towing a "gooseneck" trailer. Safety chains or cables are
not required when towing a 5th wheel or mini-5th wheel trailer.
