site and by clicking on it, viewers are automatically directed to
www.horseinfo.com. Or, you can include a more detailed ad that discusses the
hard-to-find horse books and videos that we market. Either way, we supply you
with all the copy and artwork that you need.
Q. How do I know if someone directed to www.horseinfo.com from my site
actually made a purchase that entitles me to a commission?
A. That is a fair question. Here is how it works.
Our very sophisticated software tracks every "hit" our site receives
and the site from which the "hit" originated. This is the same type of
software used by most major catalog and online merchants.
Next, the software records whether a purchase is made, the amount of the
purchase and the referring site (your site) that is entitled to the commission.
Each "hit" and every purchase is recorded in report format. You have
access to the same reports that we do, showing how may "hits" you are
sending us and the amount of each purchase. You can access these reports online,
24 hours every day. You have access to the same up-to-the-minute data that we

Q. That all sounds good but how do I know that your software is giving me an
honest count?

Q. Okay, that sounds good. How much will I be paid if I link to your

A. We pay a commission for every sale that originates from your site.
The commission rate is 10 percent of the cost of the merchandise. No commission
is paid on shipping charges (like most mail-order companies, we actually lose
money on most shipping charges).
So, if your site generates $1,000 in sales each month, we will pay you a
commission of $100 per month or $1,200 per year. If your site generates $10,000
per month in sales, your commission will be $1,000 per month.
Q. When and how do I get paid?
A. We will send you our check in US dollars for all earned commission
totaling $50.00 or more. Commissions will be paid the 15th day of the
month following the month in which the sale took place. For example, commissions
for sales occurring in July will be paid on August 15. (If your commissions do
not total $50.00 for the month, they will be held over and added to your next
month’s total for payment.)
Q. What about returns? Do I need to refund commissions on merchandise that is
returned?
A. Like all legitimate mail order and e-commerce marketers, we accept returns
from customers and make refunds. If we make a refund to a customer from your
site, you will receive a report of that refund. We will do all of the
bookkeeping. You do not need to refund the commission we paid on that sale. We
will automatically deduct the commission from the returned sale from your next
commission check and supply you with all of the paperwork.
Q. Do I need a sales tax number or sales permit to participate in your

A. No. We are the merchant and you are the "referrer." In short, we
are paying you a commission or finders fee. No sales tax permit or sales number
is required.

A. We will link your site to our entire catalog of hundreds of hard-to-find
books, videos and other items of interest to horse owners and enthusiasts. In

not included in our catalog. You will have the opportunity to earn a commission
on everything we sell.
Q. What if I only want to feature a few of the items you sell, not your
entire catalog?
