The Horse Buyer's Notebook
Review from the June 1997 Paint Horse Journal
At last, someone has come up with a way to make shopping for a horse simpler and more organized. After inspecting dozens of horses during the search for the “right” one, it can be difficult to keep your recollections straight.
Developed by The Russell Meerdink Company, Ltd., the Horse Buyer’s Notebook helps prospective buyers remember each horse by providing 50 double-sided worksheets on which to record vital statistics and information. The front of each worksheet reminds buyers to check each feature of a horse’s conformation by providing a detailed checklist and a diagram of a horse on which markings and notes may be made.
The back of each sheet offers another checklist for a general health exam, as well as space for notes or photographs.
Novices will appreciate the four-page introduction with diagrams and definitions of good and bad conformation.
