If you are a western rider just getting started in competitive showmanship, pleasure and horsemanship, then the Through the Judge's Eye video series with judge Robert C. Milkie should be high on your shopping list. In this series, Milkie explains each of these three classes, along with the performance aspects that are needed to win.

As the title of the series implies, the videos approach each class from the judge's perspective. In a seminar setting, Milkie discusses what he looks for when evaluating each class and why. Novice riders and horses provide examples of what should and should not be done.

Riders who view these tapes will come away with an understanding of what is expected in these three popular western classes. While judges differ in their opinions, Milkie's international, multi-breed experience provides valuable insights to beginning competitors.
