Through the Judge's Eye:
How to Win at: Western Showmanship, Western Horsemanship
and Western Pleasure
Review from the June 1997 Paint Horse Journal
Top judge Robert C. Milkie tells exhibitors what judges really look for in this helpful "Through the Judge’s Eye" series. Thirty one exhibitors were used to give clear examples of what to do - and not do - in the ring.
Milkie’s explanations are clear and concise, and he summarizes his points well with the aid of charts and lists easily referred to by the viewer. He explains how classes are scored, and also gives the “inside scoop” on trends that can make or break an exhibitor.
When Milkie makes a point, the word "tip" flashes across the screen to make sure no one misses it. It’s a nice editing touch to alert the viewer to take note.
